I am 15 years old and I want a man. I don't want a boy my age because they are too silly and I never feel safe with them. Recently I have been feeling so depressed over nothing and I wish I had a nice guy to keep my company and have a really strong relationship with someone. Anyone else feel a man would make life seem so much better when you're felling low?

I've felt like that before, but not now. I have a guy who has a crush on me right now, but I don't want a relationship right now, to be perfectly honest. Sometimes they just aren't worth it, but I can get where you're coming from.

Feeling depressed can easily lead you to not-so-smart behaviour, such as allowing an adult man into your teenage life and fantasies. Girls looking up to older men is not uncommon at all - it may seem like they have things all figured out, have power and prestige(money, car, maybe house). But you could be caught between dorky 15 year old boys and adult men who should be having normal, adult relationships with adult women. A man who would be having any kind of deep emotional relationship with a 15 yr old girl is incapable of having a deep or lasting one with a woman. So, age aside, he is not an adult. He would be, however, using her. I know 15 seems old when you are 15 but you have lots of time to find someone nearer your age, who is more mature and has similar interests and life experience. All of which talks only to your loneliness. You don't seem to understand the nature of your depressed feelings so please talk to a school counsellor about them.

having an older bloke won't solve all your problems, in fact, it will probably create more, so i'd say don't g out with anyone over 17 xx though you seem a bit emotionally unstable so i'd say don't date, full stop.
